I'm a lucky lady liv'n my dream--that sums it up. As a young kid growing up in South Dakota, I used to escape out my bedroom window so I could sit on the roof, stare at the horizon, dream big dreams and scribble stories in notebooks. Now I'm lucky enough to be a published romantic suspense author. An avid traveler, I incorporate a lot of my adventures into my stories (except the illegal activities my characters find themselves caught up in--I swear!) Writing is more than a passion to me, it's a state of being. People fascinate me--what makes them tick, what do they hide and why. Because of this fascination, all of my stories are emotional high-stakes poker games where my main characters have a lot to lose.
My next release, RIPTIDE, is definitely an emotionally charged romantic suspense--I absolutely love this story and these characters. It's available August 2012 in ebook form only--paperback comes out in November 2012. My romantic suspense novel, KISS ME SLOWLY, is now available in paperback and all ebook formats on bookstrand.com, barnesandnoble.com, amazon and amazonUK.
Prior to publishing my novels, I worked as a journalist and freelance writer for over a decade. As a journalist, feature articles drew most of my interest because I'm fascinated with the human condition. Although I still freelance when possible, most of my time is now focused on fiction and non-fiction books.
2012-07-17 I finally have the new cover for my next release and I'm absolutely thrilled. I couldn't be more excited for Riptide's release. Yay! I'm a very happy lady.
