I've written 18 histocial romances, 17 in print, 14 of which are now considered "backlist" and have been reissued as ebooks. From pirates to Scottish Highlanders to highwaymen to knights in armor, I've written about every period in history that fascinates me. I have three trilogies (that didn't start out to be trilogies, but I enjoyed myself so much I kept adding to the series) The Medieval trilogy is Through A Dark Mist, In the Shadow of Midnight, and The Last Arrow. It's my take on the Robin Hood legend, using bits and snippets of every legend written about him and combining them into *my* Robin.
The second trilogy is the Scottish books, The Pride of Lions, The Blood of Roses, and Midnight Honor. These are the only books in my repertoire that I do not own the rights to and must therefore be at the pricing mercy of Random House, which for some unknown odd stupid reason has decided to price ebooks higher than the print version. Little vent there. Big pet peeve. I would love everyone to read those books, but not until I get the rights back and put them for sale at a reasonable price.
The third trilogy is the Pirate Wolf series, Across A Moonlit Sea, The Iron Rose, and my newest, original, written for digital, entirely indie The Following Sea. The latter was written after an eight year hiatus from the stress and b.s. of print publishing and because it felt so good to write what *I* wanted, I can only hope it inspires my muse to more *g*
I design and do my own covers and charge a reasonable fee to do so for others. I like skin on my covers...and more often than not, Jimmy's skin LOL
More about me? I'm a Canadian but I spend several months of the year in Orlando as a snowbird, escaping that horrid white stuff that falls on the ground every winter. I have one son and three lovely grandchildren who keep me sharp and on my toes.
I have a blog at www.wordpress.marshacanham.com where I often vent and sometimes make pithy observations.
I can be found on Facebook and my Twitter handle is @marshacanham
