"Life Begins At Forty."

That motto is directly responsible for my entrance into the world of writing.
When the teenage years approached, Sharon developed a sudden fascination with the idea of a second career. To best get a feel for the market, she signed up with Kelly Girls as a temporary in the secretarial field, her specialty during the early years of her marriage. Sharon found the variety of jobs interesting enough to be named the Kelly Girl of the Year, San Diego East County, in 1981, but could not find the fulfillment she sought.
A believer in taking advantage of community college courses designed with the adult in mind, Sharon began taking art and craft classes at the Foothills Education Center in El Cajon. In 1984, a class entitled, Writing For Fun and Profit, caught her eye, and the rest as they say is history. After nearly five years of hard work, Sharon was an 'overnight' success with a two-book contract to Berkley Publishing. Her love of history and little-known facts, made the writing of her first sale a natural as a western historical romance.
Sharon lived in San Diego County until 2000. She then left the sunny beaches of California and moved to the frozen plains of North Dakota. Hard to believe, but it's true! More than that, she absolutely loves the four seasons, especially the snowy winters.
